01 — 09 Selected work
A portfolio, hung like a wall.
Portrait, architecture, and coastal commissions from the last few seasons. The frame is the interface.
On method
I wait for the light to do the work. The camera just has to be ready when it does.
SH — Studio The photographer
Iris Calder makes photographs the slow way.
Silver Halide is a one-person studio. No second shooters, no conveyor belt of galleries — one photographer who reads the room, waits for the moment, and comes back with a small edit worth keeping.
Fifteen years between portrait sittings, quiet weddings, and editorial commissions. Everything is shot in available light where it can be, printed on archival cotton rag, and delivered without the noise.
SH — 02 Sessions
A short, honest list.
Every commission includes the shoot, a hand-made edit, and a private online gallery. Prints and albums are quoted separately.
